Tocqueville Society

United Way Fox Cities Tocqueville Society – our premier giving society – recognizes like-minded philanthropists who annually contribute $10,000 or more to United Way.

The Society takes its name from the French historian and aristocrat Alexis de Tocqueville, who expressed his admiration of the American tradition of neighbor helping neighbor in his classic treatise Democracy in America.

Through United Way, you can be assured that your contribution will be responsibly invested to achieve the greatest positive impact on our community.  The critical health and human service issues we address did not develop overnight.  The long-term solutions to these issues require focus, responsiveness and discipline to achieve lasting change.

Tocqueville Society membership provides an opportunity to inspire others through the spirit of philanthropy and service.  We invite you to join or renew your membership in the Tocqueville Society, and be part of a leadership society that improves lives in our community.
